Cut for a cause

Kanya, Chennai’s most preferred skin and hair-care destination, has teamed up with Can-Stop for a touching initiative as part of their social responsibility policy. Can-Stop is the outreach program of the Sundaram Medical Foundation, Dr.Rangarajan memorial Hospital.

Anyone willing to donate more than six inches of hair for someone who has lost theirs due to treatment of cancer can now do it at a Kanya salon. The hair will then be donated to Can-Stop. Kanya is giving their clients who come forward for a donation a free shampoo and hair cut. Can-Stop has welcomed this initiative and arranged for a wig-maker to make wigs out of the hair donated by Kanya. These wigs are then presented to the cancer patients.Cancer patients who lose hair due to chemotherapy treatment feel extremely conscious about their hair loss and long to be identified as normal human beings.

As part a sustained association with Can-Stop, this initiative is being extended by Kanya to continue in all their salons all through the coming year.
